Monday was Nick's 15th birthday. We spent it visiting Bitter End Yacht Club, as guests of Mikhail and Dawn, fellow homeschoolers and residents at BEYC. After a tour of the place, we had lunch at the pub. Nick had a birthday brownie.
After lunch, we joined the resort's afternoon snorkeling trip to a nearby reef. After an hour or so in the water--not as long for Samantha, who was freezing--the captain pointed out rays and turtles as we cruised back to the resort.
It was a good first day.
