Saturday was spent exploring Doune Castle, the location for much of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

A wedding!!--we lucked into arriving just behind the bride.
So, we explored the rest of the castle while the wedding was happening in the Great Hall.
So, we explored the rest of the castle while the wedding was happening in the Great Hall.
There were dark rooms, curvy stone staircases, and lots of garderobes (look it up).

After the wedding was over, we peeked down on the bride, her groom and the guests as they drank champagne in the anteroom.

Following that, we watched as the photographer arranged the entire group for a series of photos along a castle wall.

Later, we explored the castle grounds.
When we had gotten as far as we could from our car, it poured. Since this was the only day we were really rained on in Scotland, we didn't complain much, but we did head back to the house to get dry!
